So, a lot has happened in 2012. I became friends with a lot of people, seen and done different things than I thought I would, and yet again have improved my skillset as an artist. A lot of bad thing happened too. Hurricane Sandy, for one -- was personally terrifying for me because someone I love was involved. And there is another thing. Me and the woman of my dreams got together, and now we're headed off to MAGfest 2013 -- the first convention I've ever been to. I will be in our nation's capitol in a few days and I could not be happier.
People and things have came and went, and now I only have a year left until I will have taken enough classes (And created a senior show) to finally get my Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree. I've also been working on a VEEERY big piece called "The Angel Civil War," and I've revamped one, and released another of the three in my "webcomic trilogy," with the third hopefully coming at some point this year.
I've went through three different roommates in a year.Me and a friend started working together and then went our separate ways just as fast. I've started doing Commissions, which, Is going to be the standard from now on, at $5 a piece or more, as I'm trying now to save up for an apartment or house after I graduate for me and my girlfriend to live in. I'll also need money to get my name changed and several other expenses.
I've started doing a LOT more title cards, one of whose series sadly ended, and tried (unsuccessfully) to get representation as an illustrator. I've also got certain plans/ambitions for the future set ahead of me.
On a less personal note, a lot has happened in general. A lot of tragedy has come out of this year I think we all are glad to discard in the coming ones. Series have ended left and right -- Forget About It, The Nostalgia Critic, Talking Classics, Heart of Gaming, Dr. Who Classics and many more series all have said their goodbyes and paved the way for a lot of new content to come to us. The final really really big Channel Awesome anniversary movie -- "To Boldly Flee" was released. People have broken up, gotten married, gotten engaged... The Avengers and Wreck it Ralph were released and became genre-busting masterpieces. Homestuck raised the money to start developing a game based on it (And I just started reading Homestuck, for that matter) Characters Died, new characters were created. Certain people stopped working with other certain people. Barack Obama was re-elected President.
I honestly think that there has been more change in just this year alone than in all the other years of my life, combined. It's been a real roller coaster ride. I'm glad that It's all over and once again I'm really looking foreward to what 2013 has in store for me, the people I know and care about -- and for the world in general.
If you would like a commission , paypal is email@example.com . Do not be alarmed if you are giving the money to someone named "Taylor Rogers," that's me :-P
